g) (1,1-Dioxo-1,6-thiomorpholin-4-yl)-{6-[3-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-5-hydroxymethyl-isoxazol-4-ylmethoxy]-pyridin-3-yl}-methanone; To a solution of 6-[3-(4-fluoro-phenyl)-5-hydroxymethyl-isoxazol-4-ylmethoxy]-nicotinic acid (250 mg, 0.73 mmol) in THF (6.6 mL) was added 1-hydroxybenzotriazole hydrate (113 mg, 0.73 mmol), N-ethyldiisopropylamine (317 ul, 1.82 mmol), N-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-N’-ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride (142 mg, 0.73 mmol) and thiomorpholine 1,1-dioxide (98.1 mg, 0.73 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature. Evaporation of the mixture followed by chromatography (silica, dichloromethane_methanol=1:0 to 9:1) afforded the title compound (0.27 g, 80percent) as a white solid. MS: m/e=462.3 [M+H]+.
