The oil was triturated with ethyl ether (Et2O) and cooled by dry ice to give the product, 12.75 g as a solid, m.p. 60-62 C. Recrystallization of 5 g from 100 mL of Et2O gave 3.5 g of pure product, m.p. 62-63 C. along with a second crop of 0.75 g with m.p. 62-63 C.
