Sutezolid (formerly PNU-100480) is a thiomorpholine analogue of linezolid with greater potency in several experimental TB models and the potential for a superior safety profile. This article reviews available preclinical and clinical data regarding the pharmacokinetics, safety and efficacy of sutezolid and presents the case for its further development for the treatment of TB.
